Privacy Policy

Overview

TCG Batcher is a Chrome extension that helps Magic: The Gathering players compare cart prices between online stores. All cart processing — extraction, comparison, and export — happens entirely inside your browser. No cart data, card names, prices, or store URLs are ever sent to our servers.

What we do not collect

• Cart contents, card names, quantities, or prices
• Store URLs or browsing history
• Your name, address, or payment card details
• Your Chrome profile or Google account information
• Browser fingerprints or hardware identifiers
• Any analytics or usage telemetry

What stays in your browser

Saved carts, comparison results, exported CSV files, and your license state are stored only in chrome.storage.local on your device. This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly export it as a file.

Payments and licensing

The extension itself does not process payments. If you purchase a Founding License, payment is handled by PayPal on PayPal's hosted checkout page, which opens in a new browser tab outside the extension.

When you activate a license key, the extension sends only:

• Your license key (to verify it is valid)
• A random install ID — a UUID generated locally, not linked to your identity
• The extension version (for debugging only)

No cart data, card names, or prices are ever sent to the licensing server. The licensing backend stores your email (for key delivery) and PayPal order ID (for refund handling) only. It stores a hash of your license key — never the key in plaintext.

Current status: As of this version, the licensing backend is not yet operational. No network requests are sent to a licensing server. The Upgrade link is a placeholder.

Permissions

The extension uses only:

• activeTab — to read the cart page DOM when you open the popup
• storage — to save your extracted carts locally
• host permissions for cardkingdom.com and mtgmintcard.com only — to inject the cart extraction script on those specific pages

The extension does not use: tabs, cookies,webRequest, history, or <all_urls>.

No affiliate links

This version of the extension does not contain affiliate links. No links in the extension's output are modified to include tracking codes. The order of price comparison results is never influenced by commercial relationships.
